As a part of a Fortune 150 company, Core-Mark has demonstrated sustained growth and impressive achievements, generating over 23 billion dollars in revenue. The company prioritizes empowering customers, employees, and communities through its extensive distribution network across the United States and Canada. Core-Mark operates numerous distribution centers, providing an extensive array of products, programs, and services that support the broad convenience retail industry. This strong foundation has made Core-Mark a trusted partner in the food supply chain, recognized for its customer-centric operations and commitment to excellence in delivery service.

The company not only focuses on delivering quality service but also fosters a culture of personal growth and development for all its associates. Core-Mark believes in internal promotions and offers frequent training sessions in various formats designed to help employees achieve their personal and professional objectives. This supportive environment cultivates a workforce that is motivated, skilled, and dedicated to the company’s mission.

Core-Mark is currently looking to hire Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers who will play an essential role in the food supply chain by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to customers. These drivers serve as the face of Core-Mark, building lasting relationships through professional interaction with customers, vendors, and co-workers. The position requires an early start each morning from the assigned HUB to commence routes typically involving the transport of 10,000 to 12,000 pounds of freight using equipment such as hand trucks and dollies. Products are shipped in plastic totes or boxes depending on the type of merchandise. Delivery drivers are responsible for offloading products at designated stops, checking invoices, picking up empty totes, and performing pre- and post-trip inspections to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

This full-time position offers competitive pay, including an average annual salary of about $85,000, with opportunities for monthly performance bonuses up to $500. There is also a $10,000 sign-on bonus available. The work schedule involves Monday to Friday shifts beginning at 6 am, with local routes allowing drivers to be home daily. Core-Mark provides a safe and inclusive working environment that promotes a culture of rewards, recognition, and respect. Employees benefit from comprehensive healthcare plans starting from day one, a 401K employer matching program, employee stock purchase options, paid time off, education assistance, and various other perks.

The role demands strong adherence to safety protocols and DOT regulations, requiring drivers to conduct thorough inspections of tractors, trailers, and freight before and after trips to ensure safety compliance and product integrity. Duties include load verification, completion of accurate paperwork, unloading and transporting items to customer storage areas, damage control checks, communication with supervisors regarding issues, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the work environment. Drivers must have a valid CDL-A license, meet state licensing requirements, possess a clean driving record, and successfully pass a post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test. Physical ability to handle and move freight cases weighing between 10 to 90 pounds using appropriate equipment is also essential.

Working as a Delivery Driver at Core-Mark is a fulfilling opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a critical segment of the food supply chain while enjoying career growth, competitive compensation, and an inclusive, respectful workplace. This position not only supports America’s food distribution system but also offers meaningful work and robust benefits that recognize and reward dedication and expertise.
