Job Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • 12 or more months of foodservice or beverage route delivery experience in Class A vehicle
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle record for past three years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment to move product cases and freight of varying sizes and weights throughout shift

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • At least 12 months of foodservice or beverage route delivery experience with a Class A vehicle
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle record for the past three years
  • Ability to pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Successful completion of road test
  • Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment for moving and stacking product cases and freight

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
  • Report all safety hazards immediately
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and report issues to supervisor
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are properly locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • Perform daily log of hours of service according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Maintain housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and trailers
  • Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
