The position of Driver, Hourly CDL-A, plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of food and food-related products, which are essential to America’s food distribution system. This role involves driving a tractor trailer or straight truck across intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop deliveries. Drivers act as the face of Core-Mark, representing the company with professionalism while building strong, lasting relationships with customers.

This position offers a competitive bi-weekly pay of up to $3,600, coupled with monthly and annual bonus opportunities. The work schedule is designed to provide a healthy work-life balance, featuring a four-day workweek starting at 5:00 AM. Responsibilities include conducting all required safety inspections according to Department of Transportation regulations, ensuring freight is properly loaded and secured, and adhering to all DOT and company safety policies. Drivers are expected to verify deliveries, obtain customer signatures, manage returns, handle paperwork accurately, and maintain clean and secure transportation equipment.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CDL-A license, and at least one year of commercial driving experience. They must also be 21 years or older, possess a clean motor vehicle record for the past three years, pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check, and have or be able to obtain a valid DOT Health Card. The role requires physical ability to hand-lift and operate equipment to move product cases weighing from 10 to 90 pounds.
