Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 6 months experience driving tractor trailers
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move and stack product cases/freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds during shift
- Must be ok with 1-2 overnights per week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 6 months experience driving tractor trailers
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
- Ability to pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Successful completion of road test
- Valid or ability to obtain DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment for moving freight
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
- Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
- Unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about issues
- Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and log entries as per DOT requirements
- Perform housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
- Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
