Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 6 months experience driving tractor trailers
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move and stack product cases/freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds during shift
  • Must be ok with 1-2 overnights per week

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 6 months experience driving tractor trailers
  • Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
  • Ability to pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Successful completion of road test
  • Valid or ability to obtain DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment for moving freight
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
  • Unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about issues
  • Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect payments where required
  • Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and log entries as per DOT requirements
  • Perform housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
  • Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
