The role of Food and Food Service Delivery Driver at Core-Mark is crucial in maintaining the nation’s food supply chain. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of the company, carrying out essential work to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food products. This position offers competitive pay, including an average annual salary of approximately $85,000, supplemented by a monthly performance bonus of up to $500. Additional benefits from the first day include health and wellness, a 401K plan with employer matching, an employee stock purchase plan, education assistance, paid time off, and various other perks.
The delivery driver role is primarily local with routes that start early in the morning from the HUB, and allow drivers to be home daily. Responsibilities include handling and offloading 10-12K pounds of freight daily, using equipment such as hand trucks and dollies. Products are generally shipped in plastic totes or boxes and require careful delivery and customer interaction. The driver will perform pre- and post-trip inspections of their tractor and trailer, ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, verify and process freight paperwork, and provide exceptional customer service by building lasting relationships.
Core-Mark prioritizes safety and quality across all operations. Drivers are expected to follow all DOT rules and company policies, report any safety hazards or maintenance needs, and maintain cleanliness and security of equipment. By joining the Core-Mark team, drivers will engage in rewarding work with opportunities for advancement within a supportive and diverse working environment. This position fits well for individuals who are driven, responsible, and eager to join an established company passionate about supporting the retail convenience sector and the communities it serves.
