Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 1 year route delivery experience in CMV
- Meet state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for last 3 years
- Pass drug test and background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or hold valid DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use relevant equipment for product handling
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Minimum of 1 year route delivery experience in a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Ability to pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or hold a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure one
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move and stack product cases
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor as necessary
- Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and logs per DOT requirements
- Perform housekeeping duties and maintain cleanliness of tractor, trailer, and loading dock
- Perform other related duties as assigned
