As one of the largest food distributors, US Foods prides itself on a rich culture of promoting from within, offering excellent training programs, and fostering a continuous improvement environment. The company is recognized for its commitment to safety, customer service, and comprehensive employee benefits, positioning it as a top choice for individuals seeking a rewarding career in the foodservice industry.

The role of a US Foods Delivery Driver is pivotal to the company’s logistics and customer relationship efforts. Delivery Drivers are responsible for safely transporting products to customers, meeting scheduled delivery times, and ensuring each delivery is handled with precision and professionalism. Starting with a competitive hourly wage of $22 during training, drivers have the potential to earn between $25 and $30 per hour with component pay. Additionally, eligible new hires can benefit from a $2,500 retention bonus, underscoring the company’s investment in its workforce.

This employment opportunity offers full-time status with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K retirement plans, life insurance, and a robust safety culture. US Foods Delivery Drivers perform critical duties such as pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, safely unloading products using equipment like two-wheelers and pallet jacks, verifying delivery accuracy with customers, collecting payments when applicable, and maintaining professional customer service. Drivers must be physically capable of lifting and handling loads between 20 to over 80 pounds repetitively during shifts, and be comfortable working in various weather conditions.

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet several important criteria, including being at least 21 years old, possessing a valid Class A CDL with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, and having relevant commercial driving experience – at least six months in any commercial driving role or three months specifically in food or beverage delivery. An ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred and may be required depending on location. Moreover, drivers must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a secure online database to monitor commercial driver’s license holders’ compliance with drug and alcohol program regulations.

Joining US Foods means becoming part of a community dedicated to helping both customers and employees "Make It." Drivers are considered the face of the company on the road, embodying integrity, reliability, and customer service excellence that strengthens client relationships. The company’s cultural beliefs emphasize work ethic, collaboration, and exceptional service, supporting every employee’s career growth and success.
