Shuttle drivers at US Foods are expected to be comfortable working in various weather conditions, capable of handling manual transmissions if required, and must demonstrate strong communication skills to follow directions accurately and maintain records. The role involves interaction with dispatch and requires registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federally mandated database tracking commercial drivers' drug and alcohol program violations. Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements and have a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience, with preference given to drivers who possess doubles endorsements and prior driving experience with double trailers.
