The role of the Class A CDL Route Driver at Airgas based in Indianapolis, IN, involves ensuring the safe transportation, delivery, and management of compressed gas cylinders and related products. This position operates Monday through Friday with a start time of 6 am, allowing drivers to be home daily. Drivers will handle a Class A Hazmat vehicle and perform comprehensive vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety and compliance. The responsibilities extend beyond driving and include professional management of customer relations, operation of warehouse equipment like forklifts, accurate documentation of transactions, and strict adherence to hazardous material safety protocols.
