Job Description
CPC Logistics is a dynamic and reputable logistics and transportation company known for its commitment to efficient and reliable delivery services. Serving the Fresno, California area, CPC Logistics specializes in providing local delivery solutions tailored to meet the needs of its diverse clientele, particularly within the automotive parts industry. Recognized for its dedication to safety, professionalism, and timely deliveries, the company prides itself on fostering a supportive workplace that values diversity and equal employment opportunities. CPC Logistics stands out in the logistics sector through its focus on local deliveries that ensure drivers are home daily, contributing to a balanced work-life experience for its team members.
Currently, CPC Logistics is seeking qualified PM Class A Delivery Drivers to join its dedicated driver staffing operations center. This role is specifically designed for experienced tractor-trailer drivers who are capable of handling timely deliveries of auto parts to local dealerships. The position offers a consistent PM shift that starts at 8 PM, with a work schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, averaging between 9 to 10 hours per shift. Drivers will benefit from the locality of the routes, meaning daily home time and manageable driving schedules focused on local touch pickups and deliveries. The role’s responsibilities include not only driving but also offloading auto parts using tools such as 2-Wheel Dollies and pallet jacks, making it a hands-on and active position.
The pay rate for this PM shift role is competitive, offering $28.00 per hour alongside a structured weekly pay schedule that supports financial stability for drivers. CPC Logistics emphasizes the importance of recent and relevant experience, requiring candidates to have between 12 to 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer delivery experience within the last three years. Notably, bus or coach experience is not applicable for this role. The company also sets high standards in compliance, expecting drivers to meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.
Candidates must possess a valid California CDL Class A license and be at least 21 years old to qualify. The job demands physical capabilities to handle deliveries involving multiple stops per day (ranging from 5-10 stops) and the willingness to engage in manual labor for unloading cargo. CPC Logistics supports a culture of respect, equal opportunity, and continuous improvement, making it an ideal workplace for drivers looking to grow their careers within the logistics and transportation sector. This position delivers not only a fulfilling career opportunity with competitive compensation but also guarantees the benefit of a home-daily schedule — an essential factor for many professional drivers.
In summary, the PM Class A Delivery Driver position at CPC Logistics provides an excellent opportunity for professional drivers to join a leading logistics company in Fresno, CA. The role offers competitive pay, scheduled weekly payments, and a dependable local delivery route schedule that respects the drivers’ personal time by keeping them home each day. It combines the practical demands of driving a tractor-trailer with the active responsibility of handling auto parts deliveries, making it a multifaceted and rewarding role. CPC Logistics is committed to equity in hiring and encourages diverse applicants to apply, reflecting the company’s core values and dedication to workforce inclusivity.
