Job Description
CPC Logistics is a prominent logistics and transportation staffing organization specializing in connecting qualified commercial drivers with leading employers in the transportation industry. Serving the Escondido, California region and beyond, CPC Logistics plays a critical role in bridging the gap between skilled CDL drivers and companies in need of timely, dependable logistics solutions. With a focus on quality and service, CPC Logistics continually strives to uphold the highest standards in driver recruitment, placement, and support, ensuring both drivers and employers benefit from productive and lasting partnerships.
The CPC Logistics driver staffing operations center in Escondido, CA, is currently seeking Local Class A CDL Drivers for a major beverage distributor servicing the area. This opportunity offers a competitive wage of $30.00 per hour with overtime pay after eight hours of work, primarily scheduled from Monday through Friday during the first shift. Shift times may vary between 4 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., depending on the specific role and dock times. Candidates will undergo a one-week training program held from Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This position is designed for experienced drivers who are comfortable operating large commercial vehicles and handling beverage and liquor freight.
As a local driver, the successful candidate will deliver beverage and liquor products to various stores and warehouses in the Escondido area, requiring the ability to manage heavy freight loads safely and efficiently. Operating equipment ranges from 53-foot trailers to 26-foot reefer box trucks depending on the delivery route. The role involves physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and touching freight with the help of appropriate equipment like electric pallet jacks, highlighting the need for basic computer skills for managing logistics-related documentation. This position mandates a minimum of three years of tractor-trailer delivery driving experience, making it ideal for seasoned Class A CDL drivers seeking stable, weekday-focused employment in a supportive and diverse work environment.
CPC Logistics prides itself on being an Equal Opportunity Employer that fully embraces diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. The company encourages all qualified candidates to apply regardless of race, gender, age, or background, fostering a welcoming environment for all employees. With benefits including voluntary medical, dental, vision coverage after 90 days, a 401k plan, and weekly compensation, CPC Logistics offers a well-rounded employment package to support the health, financial security, and overall well-being of its drivers. This comprehensive approach makes CPC Logistics not just an employment source but a career partner for those committed to the transportation industry.
