Job Description
Pilot Company is a leading network of travel centers founded in 1958 by Jim A. Haslam II and now led by CEO Adam Wright. The company operates over 750 retail and fueling locations across 44 states and six Canadian provinces, boasting a team of more than 30,000 employees. With a rich history and commitment to a people-first culture, Pilot Company delivers excellence in multiple sectors including supply chain and retail operations, logistics and transportation, technology and digital innovation, construction, maintenance, human resources, finance, sales, and marketing. The company prides itself on its founding values and dedication to giving back, all while keeping North America moving by fueling people and operations efficiently and reliably.
This particular role is for a Class A CDL Refined Fuel Driver position based in Woodhaven, MI. Pilot Company urgently seeks a dedicated and safety-conscious fuel transport driver with an excellent driving record. While experience in the petroleum industry is preferred, it is not a strict requirement, making this an excellent opportunity for qualified CDL holders eager to join an industry-leading transportation and logistics team. Drivers will receive competitive pay ranging from $28.00 to $32.50 per hour after completing training, with the training period offering $26.00 per hour. Compensation includes multiple pay differentials such as night shift pay and weekend pay, alongside time-and-a-half remuneration for overtime hours. Drivers also have opportunities to earn additional incentive pay, including safety enhancement pay, driver trainer pay, and meal coupons.
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and financial security of its drivers and their families. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, company-paid life insurance and long-term disability protections, a company-matched 401k retirement plan with generous matching percentages, paid time off up to five weeks for tenured drivers, holiday pay, and paid parental leave for eligible employees. Wellness initiatives such as free sleep apnea therapy, smoking cessation programs, and weight loss coaching are available for drivers participating in the health plan. Career advancement is encouraged through available leadership roles such as driver trainer, lead driver, field supervisor, and regional safety and operations management. Driver referral bonuses add further financial incentives.
This position requires specific endorsements and qualifications such as a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, together with a minimum of one year's tractor/trailer driving experience. Pilot Company values diversity and inclusion, ensuring all applicants will receive fair consideration without discrimination based on any protected characteristic under applicable laws. The role engages drivers in a critical supply chain that supports some of the busiest basins nationwide, providing consistent job stability and growth potential within a respected organization renowned for its operational excellence and employee-focus.
