Job Description
Koch Trucking is a dynamic division of Koch Companies, renowned for its comprehensive transportation services such as truckload freight hauling, logistics, warehousing, and truck/trailer leasing. Operating with a commitment to excellence and employee satisfaction, Koch Trucking merges innovation with a steadfast focus on providing top-tier transportation solutions across the United States. With a driving philosophy centered on efficiency, safety, and driver-centric policies, Koch Trucking has earned accolades such as the 2025 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association and recognition as a Top 200 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. This reputation underscores its dedication not only to operational excellence but also to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment that values diversity and equal opportunity. The company’s flatbed division is currently seeking Class A CDL truck drivers eager to join a team that emphasizes steady miles, ongoing training, and attractive compensation packages.
As a Class A CDL flatbed driver with Koch Trucking, you will have the opportunity to operate one of the company's modern trucks, including Volvo 860s and Freightliner Cascadias, averaging just 16 months old. These vehicles come equipped with a variety of driver-friendly features such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtain wraps, double bunks, and built-in inverters, ensuring a comfortable and efficient driving experience. New to flatbed driving? No problem. Koch Trucking provides additional training during orientation to boost your skills and confidence. This role is designed to maximize your earning potential with consistent and steady miles, particularly focusing on hauling oversized flatbed loads. You can expect to be on the road for 14 to 21 days depending on your location, with comprehensive pay that includes starting pay of $0.64 per mile, an average annual earning of approximately $88,000, and potential top performer earnings reaching up to $98,000 annually. Additional financial incentives include a $6,000 hiring bonus paid monthly over the first year, stop pay, securement pay, tarp pay, over-dimensional pay, and bonuses for heavy loads and border crossings into Canada.
Koch Trucking places a high priority on driver comfort and well-being from the start, with all expenses paid orientation hosted in luxury hotels in Roseville, MN, and Appling, GA. The company supports its drivers with paid weekly wages and a PTO package that begins accruing from your very first day, including three floating holidays each year. Furthermore, health benefits extend to dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Drivers also benefit from a free iPad with a data package to stay connected with family and friends, a generous pet and rider policy, a 401K plan with company match, and 24/7/365 roadside service assistance that ensures you’re never left stranded. There is also a strong driver referral program offering a $3,000 bonus, and driver wellness is supported through the Rolling Strong driver app and access to free drivers lounge amenities including toiletries and food items.
