Job Description

Shoreline Transportation is a leading regional transportation company headquartered in Greenville, Alabama, dedicated to providing dependable and efficient services within the Southeast Region corridor. With a deep-rooted history supported by over 90 years of senior management experience, Shoreline boasts a reputable presence as both a logistics resource and transportation provider trusted by its extensive customer base. The company's fleet is equipped with cutting-edge satellite tracking systems that allow precise and real-time monitoring of every load's location, ensuring timely delivery and enhanced operational safety. Shoreline places a strong emphasis on safety and driver satisfaction, positioning these values as their number one priority to create an ideal workplace environment for professional drivers.

The company is currently seeking motivated, experienced Class A CDL drivers to join their team on a full-time basis with home-daily routes primarily from Baton Rouge to New Orleans/Harahan. These local and regional driving opportunities offer consistent 10-14 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or holidays, allowing drivers a great work-life balance along with a competitive salary of $65,000 to $75,000 annually. The role demands a commitment to safe driving practices, punctuality, and excellent customer service as drivers shuttle between designated routes. Shoreline Transportation supports their drivers with new, state-of-the-art 2026 automatic Volvo equipment to provide a comfortable and efficient driving experience. Employees benefit from comprehensive insurance packages, including health, dental, vision, and life coverage, as well as generous paid time off programs encompassing holidays and vacation days, which promote employee well-being and retention.

A standout feature of this opportunity is the attractive sign-on bonus for new hires, alongside referral incentives that reward drivers for bringing qualified peers to the team. Shoreline fosters a culture of respect, transparency, and continuous improvement, incentivizing performance and ensuring that drivers are respected contributors in the company’s success. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply, showcasing an inclusive hiring philosophy.

The driving position requires applicants to meet several industry-standard prerequisites such as a clean Motor Vehicle Record with no preventable accidents, a current DOT medical examination, and a minimum of 18-24 months of recent, verified driving experience. Drivers must be at least 23 years of age and possess a valid Class A CDL license. The company’s commitment to safety is reflected in maintaining this high bar of qualifications to protect both drivers and the business.
