Job Description

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is a prominent leader in the convenience retail industry, offering fresh and broad-line solutions through an extensive network of distribution centers across the United States and Canada. As part of a Fortune 150 company, Core-Mark has built a reputation based on empowering customers, employees, and communities while generating over $23 billion in annual revenue. With a strong commitment to innovation and customer service, Core-Mark provides a comprehensive range of products, programs, and tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of convenience retailers. The company fosters an inclusive and respectful work environment, dedicated to safety, diversity, and rewarding employee contributions through various recognition programs and career development opportunities.

The opportunity at Core-Mark is for experienced Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers who play a crucial role in the country’s food supply chain. These drivers ensure the timely and safe delivery of food products to customers while representing the company as trusted professionals who build lasting customer relationships. As a Delivery Driver, you will operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks on local intrastate and interstate routes, over-the-road (OTR) journeys, shuttles, and overnight drives, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies at all times. This full-time position offers a competitive salary up to $85,000 per year, with day shifts starting as early as 4:00 AM from Monday to Friday, providing a stable routine and predictable schedule.

The role encompasses various responsibilities including conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, ensuring freight is securely loaded and meets safety standards, accurately completing delivery paperwork, and delivering customer orders according to predetermined routes. Drivers are also expected to unload products, perform damage control checks, obtain customer signatures, collect payments where applicable, and maintain the cleanliness and security of their vehicle and trailers. The position emphasizes a safety-first mindset, requiring immediate reporting of any hazards or required repairs and strict compliance with federal, state, and company driving regulations.

Core-Mark values its drivers as essential members of the team who contribute to the company’s success and operational efficiency. In addition to a competitive wage and benefits package—including Day 1 Health & Wellness Benefits, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K employer matching, Education Assistance, and Paid Time Off—employees gain opportunities for personal and professional growth in a company that prioritizes safety, diversity, and a supportive work culture. The role is physically demanding at times, requiring the ability to lift and maneuver product cases weighing between 10 to 90 pounds utilizing equipment such as lift gates and two-wheelers, and must be performed wearing steel toe boots for protection.

If you are a dependable individual with a valid CDL-A license, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic, joining Core-Mark as a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver offers a rewarding career path with benefits and the chance to support America’s food distribution system in an integral way.
