Job Description

ABC Supply Interiors is a leading specialty distributor of building materials focusing on products such as drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other crucial construction supplies utilized by both commercial and residential contractors. The company combines the resources and capabilities of a national distributor with the personalized service one usually associates with local businesses, ensuring customers receive top-quality materials with a friendly and responsive approach. With a reputation for reliability, quality, and exceptional customer service, ABC Supply Interiors has established itself as a trusted partner within the construction industry. The company emphasizes fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment, valuing diversity and encouraging applications from women, minorities, and veterans. As an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace, ABC Supply Interiors promotes safety, respect, and professionalism among its employees.

This particular role is for a licensed CDL Class A Driver, a vital position within the company’s local delivery operation. This position involves operating delivery vehicles to transport building materials securely and efficiently from the warehouse to various job sites. The shift is scheduled Monday through Friday, with working hours from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., emphasizing a local route with no over-the-road travel requirements. This role is physically demanding and requires the driver to unload and stock materials on-site, often collaborating with coworkers. Responsibilities include overseeing safe loading practices to ensure order accuracy and product quality and supervising unloading at delivery locations while maintaining site safety.

The CDL Driver will be trained and expected to operate specialized equipment such as booms, cranes, or Gradalls, depending on customer needs, and must ensure that all delivered products are neatly placed and organized. Additionally, this role encompasses some warehouse duties, including loading and unloading tasks. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and performing tasks that require bending, reaching, and climbing. Experience with flatbed trucks, drywall booms, straight trucks, and having crane certification is considered a plus. The position offers a rewarding local career opportunity with an established company that prioritizes safety, quality, and employee welfare. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days, a 401(k) plan with a generous company match, paid vacation, sick days, holidays, and other employer-paid insurance coverages that contribute to a comprehensive employee benefits package. ABC Supply Interiors offers a welcoming and growth-oriented environment to support the professional development and well-being of its drivers and team members.
