Job Description

ABC Supply is America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, proudly serving contractors, builders, and homeowners across the United States. Established as a leader in the building materials industry, ABC Supply prioritizes quality service, extensive product selection, and a dedication to customer satisfaction. The company has grown significantly nationwide, backed by a professional and supportive workplace culture. This commitment has earned ABC Supply the prestigious Gallup Great Workplace Award consistently since its inception in 2007, as well as recognition as one of the best places to work in the country by Glassdoor. ABC Supply truly values its employees, aiming to create an environment where individuals can thrive, develop their careers, and achieve long-term success. Embracing an employee-first philosophy means offering rewarding opportunities, fostering professional growth, and supporting work-life balance.

The role of a CDL Driver at ABC Supply is an exciting career opportunity for licensed drivers eager to advance within a nationally established company. This position offers the unique benefit of staying close to home every night, as it does not entail over-the-road travel. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of building materials to various job sites, which includes both ground-level and rooftop deliveries. Your primary focus will be maintaining the highest standards of safety from departure to completion of each job, which involves careful vehicle inspections, adherence to all federal and state regulations, and managing every delivery step with professionalism and precision.

This role involves close collaboration with delivery material handlers to ensure materials are correctly unloaded and positioned according to customer needs. You will also be expected to document deliveries rigorously by capturing and uploading photos using ABC Supply’s camera phone system and maintain detailed records through accurate paperwork and logs. A significant part of the role includes customer interaction—providing invoices and collecting payments on cash-on-delivery orders while always representing ABC Supply in a courteous and professional manner.

In addition to delivery responsibilities, this position may require occasional warehouse duties such as loading and unloading trucks or moving materials within the warehouse as assigned. The physical demands of the job include the ability to repeatedly lift heavy bundles of materials, often weighing 70 pounds or more, and the willingness to work safely on rooftops. Preferred qualifications include experience with conveyor or knuckle boom trucks, crane certification, and a Hazmat endorsement. ABC Supply supports its drivers fully with comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and various employer-paid insurance policies, all designed to promote employee wellness and financial security.

Joining ABC Supply means becoming part of a dynamic, diverse workforce that values each employee’s contribution and strives to offer a positive, inclusive work environment. ABC Supply actively encourages applicants from all backgrounds, including women, minorities, and veterans, reinforcing its commitment to an equitable workplace. This is your chance to work for an industry-leading company that values your hard work, rewards your efforts, and provides a platform for continued career advancement.
