Job Description
ABC Supply is America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products. Established as a nationally recognized and reputable company, ABC Supply takes pride in providing high-quality building materials to contractors and customers across the nation. With a robust infrastructure and a commitment to service excellence, ABC Supply operates numerous locations across the United States, making it a leader in the building products distribution market. The company is known for fostering a strong employee-first culture, demonstrated by its consistent recognition such as the Gallup Great Workplace Award, which it has received every year since the award's inception in 2007. In addition, Glassdoor has named ABC Supply one of the best places to work in the country, reflecting its emphasis on employee satisfaction, growth, and development.
ABC Supply is currently seeking licensed CDL Drivers looking to advance their careers with a stable, nationally established company that values both professional growth and work-life balance. This role offers professional driving opportunities allowing drivers to perform their duties and still be home every night, eliminating the need for over-the-road travel. As a CDL Driver at ABC Supply, you are entrusted with the critical responsibility of ensuring the safety and accuracy of each delivery from departure from the facility to job completion. Drivers will handle both ground and rooftop deliveries, working closely with delivery material handlers to manage loading, unloading, and placement of materials precisely where they are needed on-site.
The role goes beyond simple driving and delivery duties. Drivers are expected to maintain safety throughout all stages of their work, which includes establishing safe work zones at job sites and abiding by all federal, state, and local regulations. The position requires thorough load checks before departure, attention to detail in documentation through photo uploads at every delivery step, accurate completion of logs and government paperwork, and providing excellent customer service including collecting payments on COD deliveries. The work environment may at times require stepping into warehouse duties such as loading and unloading materials. ABC Supply offers comprehensive training and support to ensure their drivers have the skills and resources needed to succeed in this role.
This driving position is ideal for candidates who have a valid CDL Class A or B license, experience with flatbed or straight trucks preferred, and familiarity with semi-tractor trailers and trailer mounted forklifts is a plus. Candidates must also be capable of lifting heavy cargo of 75-100 pounds regularly and demonstrate willingness to perform rooftop work. ABC Supply prioritizes the health and safety of its employees, requiring pre-employment and random drug screenings to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Employees at ABC Supply enjoy a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance with low out-of-pocket costs available after 60 days, a 401(k) plan with generous company match immediately vested, employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and access to an employee assistance program. In addition, ABC Supply offers paid vacation, sick days, and holidays, contributing to a positive work-life balance. The company strongly supports diversity and actively encourages applications from women, minorities, and veterans, making it an inclusive and welcoming employer.
Overall, ABC Supply presents an excellent opportunity for CDL drivers who value stability, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment while having the chance to advance their careers within a leading national building products distributor.
