The Delivery Driver role at US Foods is a critical position that contributes directly to the company’s success by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customers. This role typically offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $30.92 plus additional component pay, with a work schedule generally spanning five days a week from Monday through Saturday, starting early in the morning between 3 AM and 7 AM. Delivery Drivers at US Foods operate trucks, manage the loading and unloading of products, and serve as a crucial point of contact between the company and its customers. The position demands strong attention to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the physical capability to handle and transport products weighing between 20 and 80 pounds or more throughout each shift. Drivers are also responsible for conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their equipment to ensure everything is functioning properly.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
