Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Compliance with state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean motor vehicle report for previous three years
  • Successful completion of drug testing and criminal background check
  • Pass a road test
  • Valid or obtainable DOT Health Card
  • Physical ability to hand-lift and operate moving equipment for freight cases

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Meet all state licensing or certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Possess or able to secure a current DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move product cases ranging generally between 10 and 90 pounds

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required, following DOT regulations and company driving policies
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
  • Complete all required freight paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules
  • Unload products and transport items to designated customer storage areas
  • Conduct damage control checks on items and communicate with supervisor regarding order removals
  • Verify delivery with customer, obtain signatures, and collect payments where required
  • Secure tractor, trailer, and freight appropriately after deliveries
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
  • Maintain log of hours of service per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Perform housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
