The company prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment that enables employees to thrive both professionally and personally. US Foods operates with a clear mission to help its customers succeed, and this mission extends to its drivers who are essential in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries across various customer locations. Working at US Foods means being part of a community of food people who share a passion for service and dedication to quality. Drivers at US Foods start at a competitive wage of $29.00 per hour, with an increase to $32.00 per hour after 90 days, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding experience and loyalty. The role of a US Foods Driver is crucial in maintaining the high standards of delivery service the company is known for. Drivers are responsible for safely operating trucks to deliver a wide range of food products to customers in a timely manner. This position requires physical stamina, as drivers will be unloading products using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, or sometimes by hand, and placing products in designated storage areas at customer sites. Accuracy and professionalism are key, as drivers must verify deliveries, obtain signatures, and sometimes handle collections or payments when necessary. Customer service skills are vital to ensuring positive interactions that enhance the overall client experience. Drivers are also responsible for pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to meet safety regulations and maintain equipment reliability. This role demands the ability to work in various weather conditions and involves frequent stops during delivery routes. Ultimately, the US Foods Driver plays an integral part in the distribution network, helping the company maintain its reputation for reliability and trustworthiness.
