Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years commercial driving experience preferred
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
  • Valid U.S. Department of Transportation Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Ability to perform physical demands including lifting 0-100+ lbs
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely
  • Compliance with all traffic and safety laws
  • Ability to work full-time with punctuality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sales and management
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Report to work by designated time with all required licenses and medical certificates
  • Make deliveries according to established route sequences
  • Ensure product rotation and proper placement within coolers and displays
  • Face and fill company products
  • Build, merchandise, and sign displays as directed by salespersons
  • Pick up close-dated or out-of-date products
  • Return empty pallets and handle all materials safely
  • Collect and secure payments
  • Obtain delivery invoice signatures
  • Follow procedures for price discrepancies
  • Conduct end-of-day product, pallet, and money reconciliation
  • Safeguard company products, money, and equipment
  • Count cases and items with warehouse personnel
  • Verify scanned orders against invoices
  • Contact route supervisor for additional assignments
  • Communicate with sales regarding special needs and refused orders
  • Report competitive activity in assigned accounts
  • Attend safety and delivery meetings
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
  • Obey traffic laws and company policies
  • Park trucks safely and use spotters when backing
  • Load trucks properly with restraints
  • Report and ensure maintenance of trucks
  • Clean truck and organize cab daily
  • Accurately record time worked
  • Maintain communications with company staff
  • Comply with employee handbook and liquor control regulations
