As a US Foods Delivery Driver, you become an essential member of this dynamic team, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food products to various customers. This role is crucial in maintaining the supply chain integrity and supporting the success of foodservice operations nationwide. Drivers at US Foods enjoy competitive compensation, including an hourly wage of $30.92 plus additional component pay, usually working five days a week with shifts starting between 3am and 7am Monday through Saturday. The role requires physical stamina and a commitment to safety, as drivers handle heavy products, perform routine vehicle inspections, and operate commercial vehicles across various weather conditions.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months food and beverage commercial driving experience
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs repetitively
  • Comfortable driving in inclement weather with frequent stops

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience in any industry or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred, may be required in specific locations
  • Ability to read and communicate in English, including understanding highway traffic signs and entering information on reports
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
  • Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with safety and DOT regulations
