Job Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience
- Must be 21 years or older
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or hold valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move product cases and freight
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or hold valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move and stack product cases and freight ranging from 10 to approximately 90 pounds
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure company safety standards are met and take appropriate action
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices of loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan and contact supervisor about removing orders as per company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns on trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
