Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 6 months of commercial motor vehicle driving experience
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass company road test
- Meets all state licensing and certification requirements
- Current or ability to obtain DOT Health Card
- Physical ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move products ranging between 10 and 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 6 months of commercial motor vehicle driving experience
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass company road test
- Attain or have current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one
- Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other moving equipment
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Report all safety issues and repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices of loaded products
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Record daily hours of service and enter logs in accordance with federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at shift end
- Perform other related duties as assigned
