Job Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 6 months commercial motor vehicle driving experience
  • Meet state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or hold valid DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move freight

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Minimum of 6 months commercial motor vehicle driving experience
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or hold a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure one
  • Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler, lift gate to move and stack product cases and freight

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Immediately report safety hazards
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices of loaded products
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly associated with freight
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • Perform general housekeeping duties on tractor and loading dock area
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter logs in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
