Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 plus years of age
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • 6 plus months of CMV driving experience
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move and stack product cases/freight

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL-A license

Job Duties

  • Perform required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Report all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and check customer invoices
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to route delivery schedule
  • Unload products from trailer and transport items to customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor regarding order removals
  • Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and secure all equipment and paperwork at shift end
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
