The Driver, Dedicated Backhaul position at Cheney Brothers plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless movement of food and related products through the supply chain. Drivers in this position operate tractor-trailers, tandem trailers, or straight trucks on local, regional, and interstate routes to pick up and deliver food and non-food products safely and efficiently. Working primarily night shifts from Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, drivers must manage varied dispatch times, navigating through predetermined schedules and routes. The role demands strict adherence to Department of Transportation regulations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
