Job Description
Morgan White Group (MWG) is a renowned third-party administrator specializing in insurance and claims management services. Located in Ridgeland, Mississippi, MWG serves a diverse clientele by offering efficient and reliable solutions that streamline the claims process. The company prides itself on its dedication to customer service, operational excellence, and innovation. With a strong commitment to fostering a supportive work environment, MWG provides employees with opportunities that encourage professional growth and development within the insurance and claims administration sector.
The Claims Concierge Specialist role at MWG is a pivotal position within the Administrators Division. Reporting directly to the Claims Department Manager, this non-exempt, hourly role functions at the heart of the claims lifecycle. Situated at the company's Ridgeland office, the specialist acts as a primary advocate for customers, handling inquiries and providing comprehensive assistance to ensure the claims process is smooth and transparent. This dynamic role requires a proactive individual capable of juggling multiple tasks, including answering calls, managing emails and faxes, processing documents, and collaborating with agents, providers, and broker services.
In this role, the Claims Concierge Specialist is responsible for maintaining quick processing times, with a turnaround goal of 24 to 48 hours on claims and inquiries. The specialist supports a variety of stakeholders by generating itemizations, handling prior deductible credits, conducting member audits, and validating HIPAA forms. They are also tasked with managing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), billing statements, claim adjustments, coordination of benefits calculations, and review of claim appeals. Proficiency in using MWG’s proprietary policy administration and claims management software is essential, as it enables the specialist to verify member eligibility and accurately maintain claim records.
The environment at MWG is fast-paced, and the Claims Concierge Specialist must be able to prioritize projects effectively, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities—both written and verbal—are fundamental to succeeding in this position. The role also demands professionalism in handling confidential information and the ability to respond calmly under pressure.
Ideal candidates for this role will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding associate or bachelor’s degrees. A minimum of one to two years of prior experience in insurance claims is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Windows, Excel, and Word. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to learn new software quickly and have a solid foundation in time management, organizational skills, and customer service. Bilingual skills, especially Spanish speaking abilities, are considered a plus.
Morgan White Group values diversity and inclusion and operates as an equal opportunity employer. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform their job functions safely and effectively. The Claims Concierge Specialist position offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about the insurance industry and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service within an innovative and supportive company culture.
