Job Requirements
- must have reliable transportation
- must own a smartphone and access to a printer
- availability to work weekdays and weekends
- ability to complete first service attempt within five days for routine jobs
- must obtain access to a notary for affidavit notarization
- willingness to work as a 1099 contractor
- located centrally or willing to travel across the designated area
- ability to work various times throughout the day
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- no prior experience required but previous experience as a process server, first responder, or paralegal is preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to travel throughout designated coverage areas
- capability to work independently and manage time effectively
- proficiency with smartphones and basic technology for documentation purposes
- understanding of legal processes and confidentiality requirements is a plus
Job Duties
- deliver court-mandated documents to defendants and relevant parties accurately and timely
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws governing service of process
- complete up to three service attempts within designated time frames depending on service type
- maintain detailed records of service attempts and outcomes
- communicate effectively with American Legal Solutions regarding assignment status
- use a smartphone and printer to document and report services completed
- ensure compliance with legal standards for affidavit notarization when required
