This position plays a key role in facilitating an enjoyable dining experience for guests visiting the various restaurants and food establishments within CityWalk. The role involves greeting guests promptly with warmth and professionalism, managing seating arrangements efficiently using an open table seating system, and communicating menu offerings and daily specials to restaurant patrons. By ensuring guests feel welcomed and attended to right from their arrival, the Food Host/Hostess directly contributes to the overall satisfaction and positive atmosphere of the dining venues. \n\nIn addition to guest interaction, the Food Host/Hostess will manage the waitlist and seating chart, quote accurate wait times, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the host area. Duties also include pre-bussing tables, replenishing menus, answering guest inquiries over the phone, and upholding hygiene and safety standards within the restaurant environment. This role demands strong communication skills, a keen sense of urgency, and the ability to remain composed and courteous under pressure. Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests promptly using an open table seating system
  • present menu to guests and inform them of daily restaurant specials and promotions
  • manage waiting list, server seating chart, table rotation, and quote accurate wait times
  • observe tables and track clean, dirty, and occupied tables
  • clean, organize, and stock menus at host area
  • pre-bus tables as needed
  • complete all opening, running, and closing duties
  • maintain restrooms and clean glass doors
  • sweep foyer and front entrance frequently
  • answer phone and respond to questions about the menu and restaurant
  • promote and provide extraordinary guest service
  • understand and demonstrate proper safety practices
  • monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment
  • identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts professionally
  • provide a positive and welcoming experience
  • maintain high level of trust and integrity
  • perform other duties as assigned
