The role of Assistant General Manager at NBCUniversal is an exciting leadership opportunity located at CityWalk, where the successful candidate will oversee the opening and ongoing operations of a high-volume branded concept. This position demands a strong focus on directing and managing the restaurant’s daily operations to meet performance goals in sales, costs, team member retention, guest satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. The Assistant General Manager will play a pivotal role in driving profitability by optimizing costs related to food, beverage, and labor, while consistently achieving operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include leading and supporting the management team through effective training and coaching to maintain "Best in Class" service standards, analyzing financial reports to monitor and improve performance, and exceeding annual operating profit targets. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management or related field
- minimum of 5 years management experience in high quality chain or independent restaurant group
- knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and POS systems
- ability to work rotating schedules, holidays, weekends and nights
- full-time on-site work at NBCUniversal-designated location
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management or a related field
- minimum of 5 years of management experience in high quality chain or independent restaurant group
- thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and POS systems
- ability to work rotating schedules, holidays, weekends and nights
- proven track record in developing and implementing strong training programs and tools to reduce employee attrition
- excellent management skills in leading diverse teams under tight deadlines
- strong P&L experience with budgeting and cost controls
- excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- ability to communicate effectively across all lines of business and management levels
- strong organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring and coaching skills
- passion for delivering highest quality guest service
Job Duties
- Drive operating profit goals and sales
- optimize profits by controlling food, beverage and labor costs

- ensure high team member and guest engagement
- promote company’s mission and values
- ensure company policy and brand standards are followed
- prepare and present hourly team member reviews
- complete all tasks assigned by General Manager on time
- lead and support management team in training and coaching their staff for best in class service standards
- analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in area performance, including cost of goods, variable labor and profitability
- exceed annual operating profit targets
