FedEx Freight is currently seeking a dedicated Tractor-Trailer Driver to join their team. The position is designed as an in-person, full-time role where drivers play an essential function in connecting service centers with customers, supporting the overall selling process by ensuring reliable freight delivery and maintaining high standards of customer service.

The Tractor-Trailer Driver will be responsible for operating a range of vehicles, including tractor-trailer combinations such as doubles and triples, as well as straight trucks. This role requires thorough daily pre-trip and safety inspections, safe and efficient handling of freight using motorized and manual equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, and securing freight appropriately to prevent damage during transit. Drivers are expected to perform freight damage recoupment or repair, comply with hazardous material regulations, and maintain accurate documentation and reports. A critical part of the job includes effective communication with dispatch and customers to align delivery or pickup needs, address delays or equipment issues, and even identify additional business opportunities.

FedEx Freight places a high emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance, requiring drivers to possess a valid class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for doubles, triples, hazardous materials, and tanks, alongside adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
