The role of a Citizens Teller is pivotal in fostering positive customer experiences and supporting branch operations. As a Teller, you will be the initial point of contact for customers entering the branch, responsible for greeting them warmly and assisting with their financial transactions. This includes demonstrating the use of mobile apps and ATMs to facilitate digital payments efficiently. The position requires not only accurate transaction processing and cash handling but also the ability to educate customers on Citizens' products and services to help them meet their financial objectives. Tellers actively listen to customer needs, offer tailored solutions, and refer customers to Bankers when more specialized advice is needed. Compliance with financial policies, state and local regulations, and maintaining strict attention to detail are essential aspects of this role.

This position offers a starting salary of $21 per hour and up, with an actual pay range from $24.15 to $26.10 per hour based on location, skills, and experience. Employment is full-time at 40 hours per week, with work schedules that may include weekends and evenings depending on branch hours. Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months experience processing transactions including cash or digital payments
  • Minimum of 1 year demonstrated customer service experience
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Ability to identify customer needs and ask questions
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Comfortable with digital technology
  • Availability to work branch hours including weekends and evenings
  • Completion of video interview assessment within 7 days of application
  • Ability to prepare for the self-guided video interview assessment with appropriate technology and quiet environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet customers in the branch lobby and provide excellent customer service
  • Assist customers with transactions including cash and digital payments
  • Demonstrate the use of mobile banking apps and ATMs to customers
  • Educate customers on Citizens products and benefits to meet their financial needs
  • Identify customer needs and provide personalized advice and referrals to Bankers
  • Process transactions while complying with all financial policies, state, and local regulations
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and transaction records
