This Food Service Worker role at Aramark involves assisting the manager with food and meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts and meal records, and supporting the completion of daily reports. The Food Service Worker will prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu, ensure that meal components meet dietary and safety standards, and consistently adhere to food storage and sanitation regulations. Daily tasks will also include using and caring for kitchen equipment, timely preparation of various food items and beverages, and adding garnishments to maintain appealing presentation. This role also includes coordinating major cleaning efforts for refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment to uphold a clean and organized work environment.
Beyond food preparation duties, this role necessitates close coordination with the kitchen manager to understand menu details, supervise food temperatures, and ensure all department policies and procedures are followed precisely. The candidate will actively maintain kitchen safety, cleanliness, and sanitation by scrubbing counters, cleaning steam tables, managing garbage collection areas, and adhering to the company’s uniform policy and use of personal protective equipment where necessary.
This is a physically demanding role that may require lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing for long periods. Candidates with prior food service experience will be best suited for this role, but the company welcomes individuals with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior food service experience preferred
- ability to work flexible shifts including 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 12:30 PM - 7:30 PM
- physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing
- adherence to uniform policy and personal protective equipment usage
- good communication skills
