Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a renowned hospitality company specializing in food and beverage services within major sports and entertainment venues. Established with a rich history spanning over 100 years as a family-owned company, Delaware North has grown into a global enterprise that manages concessions, premium dining, and restaurants across diverse locations, including iconic sports arenas, national parks, casinos, and retail operations. Their commitment to providing outstanding service and memorable experiences is central to their success and reputation in the hospitality industry. At Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, home to Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves, Delaware North has proudly operated concessions and dining venues since the stadium’s opening in 2016. This state-of-the-art ballpark, seating 41,500 people, offers an exciting and fast-paced environment for hospitality professionals to thrive.
The Server role at Delaware North Sportservice is a seasonal, tipped position based at Truist Park, where applicants will join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest service. Servers are essential in creating a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests, ensuring their needs are attentively met from the moment they arrive until their departure. This position offers an hourly base pay plus tips, reflecting a compensation model designed to reward excellent service. Servers are entrusted with greeting guests, presenting menus, communicating daily specials, taking food and beverage orders, and responsibly serving alcoholic beverages in accordance with all policies. The role also involves processing payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and collaborating closely with other restaurant staff, including kitchen and bar teams, to maintain efficient operations.
Beyond direct guest interaction, servers play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the dining space, performing opening and closing duties, side work, and ensuring equipment and work areas are sanitized and functional. Prospective candidates should have experience handling cash and credit card transactions, and it is advantageous to have prior experience serving in a high-volume environment using a point-of-sale system. Physical stamina is required, including the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and maintaining prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending, sometimes involving stair navigation. The position offers flexible shifts covering days, evenings, holidays, weekends, and special event days, making it suitable for individuals seeking diverse working hours.
Delaware North supports its team members with comprehensive benefits focused on their personal and professional well-being. All employees benefit from weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Eligible members may also access health, dental, and vision insurance plans, participate in a 401(k) retirement program with company match, enjoy paid vacation days and holidays, receive paid parental bonding leave, and benefit from programs such as employee assistance and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. This holistic approach to employee support reflects Delaware North's dedication to fostering a positive workplace where staff can grow and succeed alongside the company.
Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a global legacy while enjoying the excitement of working in a vibrant sports venue alongside dedicated professionals. The company emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and identities. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to memorable guest experiences in an energetic setting, this seasonal server position at Truist Park presents a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a respected industry leader.
