The role of Housekeeping Aide is vital to the function and success of the childcare center. This position focuses on ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment that supports the children's ability to learn and flourish. Housekeeping Aides take pride in maintaining the building, classrooms, and playground areas with thorough cleaning and upkeep. Responsibilities include janitorial tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, and restrooms, as well as gathering and emptying trash to maintain a hygienic setting. This role extends beyond routine cleaning to include assisting in cleaning school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls to promote a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Housekeeping Aides also help keep the environment cheerful and engaging by putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year.
