Job Requirements
- Experience in cooking and/or food preparation for groups in a childcare setting, preferred
- Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility regarding work hours and schedule
- Successful completion of background check
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Work experience in cooking and food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred
- Ability to adapt to menu changes and meet meal and snack schedules
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to childcare food service
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to assist in classrooms as needed
Job Duties
- Create home-style nutritional meal plans within school menu and budget and state and federal requirements
- Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff and distribute food to classrooms
- Follow daily menu provided by Director incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed
- Assist in classrooms as needed as an assistant teacher or floater
