Job Requirements

  • Experience in cooking and/or food preparation for groups in a childcare setting, preferred
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
  • Flexibility regarding work hours and schedule
  • Successful completion of background check
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Work experience in cooking and food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred
  • Ability to adapt to menu changes and meet meal and snack schedules
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to childcare food service
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to assist in classrooms as needed

Job Duties

  • Create home-style nutritional meal plans within school menu and budget and state and federal requirements
  • Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff and distribute food to classrooms
  • Follow daily menu provided by Director incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
  • Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed
  • Assist in classrooms as needed as an assistant teacher or floater
