Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed

Job Duties

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities and equipment including HVAC systems plumbing electrical systems and building structures
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of all equipment and systems
  • Manage a team of maintenance and engineering staff providing guidance and support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
  • Develop and manage the department budget ensuring that all expenses are within budgetary constraints
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed with minimal disruption to hotel operations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and make recommendations for improvements to hotel facilities and equipment
