CBRE is dedicated to equal employment opportunities and provides reasonable accommodations to support all prospective and current employees.

The Chief Building Engineer Supervisor role at CBRE is a leadership position based in a significant, multi-building mixed-use campus in Atlanta spanning 2.8 million square feet. This campus features office, laboratory, and warehouse spaces that support a high-profile corporate headquarters with complex technical demands. The supervisor will lead a skilled team of 12 engineers and maintenance technicians, overseeing the full range of engineering operations including preventive maintenance, repairs, energy management, and safety compliance. Key responsibilities include managing the reliability and uninterrupted performance of critical building systems such as HVAC, electrical switchgear, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and building automation systems (BAS). The role requires a hands-on leader who exemplifies operational discipline and is adept at fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within their team.

This position emphasizes client and stakeholder engagement, where the supervisor acts as a liaison by communicating risks, priorities, and ongoing updates to both client leadership and internal staff. The role involves budgeting and resource planning while supporting emergency response efforts for critical system failures and after-hours escalations. The Chief Building Engineer Supervisor also plays a vital role in safety and compliance, leading incident response initiatives and ensuring all operations adhere to regulatory requirements. Fully authorized to work candidates with a minimum of five years in building engineering or facilities, prior supervisory experience, and technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems will find this role compelling. Preferred candidates will have experience with mixed-use campuses and trade certifications, along with exposure to critical environments such as data centers or laboratories.

At CBRE, leadership extends beyond just managing facilities; it involves recognizing the impact of efficient and innovative engineering operations on the overall success of the organization and its clients. By joining CBRE, you gain the opportunity to work with industry leaders and contribute to a sustainable, high-performing environment that values and cultivates employee potential and meaningful stakeholder relationships. This role is not only a career advancement but a chance to be part of a company committed to helping its employees thrive in a diverse and inclusive workplace with a strong emphasis on development and operational excellence.
