Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must have reliable transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Team player with positive attitude
Job Duties
- Greet guests at the door with an enthusiastic attitude and a genuine smile
- Guide guests to an appropriate table making small talk along the way
- Generate fun and excitement through personality and positive attitude to encourage return visits
- Observe guests visually and respond to non-verbal cues
- Communicate with other Host staff to ensure continuous seating flow
- Record guest information when on a waiting list
- Manage reservations and parties with managerial approval
- Accommodate guests with special needs or elderly guests
- Provide crayons and kids’ menu to young children
- Inform servers of any special requests at tables
- Inquire with departing guests about their visit and invite them to return
- Handle guest complaints professionally following Chevys guidelines
- Clear, clean, and perform table maintenance as necessary
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene policies
- Refill beverages as needed
- Sweep and clean floors to maintain cleanliness
- Complete running, opening, and closing duties
- Clean and restock restrooms
- Perform various tasks delegated by management
