The position available is a supervisory role focused on managing technicians within a department. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving targeted sales and profits, delivering professional customer service, and assisting with sales related to the chemical and beverage programs. This role requires effective communication with customers, vendors, and company personnel, ensuring that information is conveyed accurately and politely. It is a collaborative position that functions as part of a team within the department and across the organization as required.

In this role, you will oversee staffing, training, coaching, and performance management of associates, ensuring duties are completed accurately and timely. Approving employee hours and managing departmental budgets and profit margins will be essential tasks. The supervisor will also handle the processing of bills for payment within their area and resolve sales and service problems, often involving customer site visits for problem resolution. Another important aspect is overseeing schedules for service or installation and providing training on sales and service processes. There may also be opportunities to maintain, install, and test various beverage and chemical equipment.

This position demands a proactive, organized, and customer-focused approach, with the ability to address complex situations where standard solutions may not always apply. The ideal supervisor will have 2 to 4 years of experience in equipment and supply sales or marketing in the foodservice industry and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license is required, as travel to customer sites may be necessary.

Job Duties

  • Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution
  • Ensure duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Approve employee hours
  • Attain targeted sales and profits as determined by business goals
  • Establish and manage departmental budget
  • Review department's profit and loss margin
  • Control budget and expenses
  • Oversee processing of bills for payment within assigned area
  • Solve sales and service problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where standardization exists
  • Drive to customer sites to assist in correcting problems
  • May provide face-to-face customer service in various situations
  • Oversee schedules for service or installation within assigned area
  • Train others in the sales and service process
  • May maintain proper functioning of various beverage and chemical equipment
  • May install and test various equipment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
