Job Description

Dead Letter is an exciting new restaurant concept developed by the renowned culinary team behind the girl & the fig, a celebrated establishment known for its dedication to quality and flavorful cuisine. Situated in the vibrant Sonoma Square, Dead Letter promises to deliver a fresh and innovative dining experience that emphasizes both exceptional food and outstanding hospitality. This new venture builds on the successful reputation of the girl & the fig while introducing a dynamic new perspective on kitchen culture and guest engagement. It is a fantastic opportunity for culinary professionals eager to be part of a ground-breaking project from its inception, shaping not just the menu but also the culture and standards that will define the restaurant's future successes.

As a new addition to the thriving food scene of Sonoma Square, Dead Letter is actively seeking experienced Chefs and Sous Chefs to join its opening team. These roles are designed for culinary experts who are passionate about using high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation to create memorable dishes. The restaurant values a collaborative kitchen environment where team members support each other and work in harmony to ensure seamless operations and a positive workplace culture. The positions are full-time and offer competitive annual salaries ranging from $70,000 to $95,000, depending on the role and experience level. Chefs can expect a salary range of $80,000 to $95,000, whereas Sous Chefs are offered between $70,000 and $85,000. Compensation packages are thoughtfully calibrated based on each candidate's prior experience and qualifications.

The successful candidates will work closely with the leadership team to execute thoughtfully crafted menus, uphold operational excellence, and foster a respectful and efficient work environment. Their responsibilities will encompass all stages of kitchen operations, from prep and service to managing inventory and cost controls. They will also play a crucial role in maintaining top-notch cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards. Collaboration with front-of-house teams and contributing to staff training and development are further key elements of these positions that ensure the smooth running of the restaurant and the delivery of an exceptional guest experience.

Joining Dead Letter means becoming part of a culinary vision that seeks not only to delight diners but also to innovate within the restaurant industry. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and who demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills will find Dead Letter an ideal workplace to grow their careers while making a meaningful impact in the food community. The establishment values diversity and inclusion and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
