At the Delta Sky Club located at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), our team nurtures an exclusive environment where travelers can relax, refresh, and enjoy premium culinary offerings before their next flight. Within this upscale atmosphere, SodexoMagic seeks experienced culinary professionals who are passionate about food innovation and exceptional service to join as Chef/Kitchen Manager. The position is vital in maintaining and elevating the quality and consistency of the food service experience in the lounge.

The Chef/Kitchen Manager role is designed for individuals with a hands-on culinary background paired with supervisory expertise. This role offers the opportunity to lead kitchen operations, including menu planning, recipe compliance, inventory management, and food production forecasting. Working closely with the Executive Chef, this person will ensure adherence to Sodexo’s culinary standards while fostering a motivated team culture committed to excellence and innovation. Candidates must be flexible and available to work day and evening shifts, including weekends, to meet the operational needs of the club.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of management experience
  • flexible to work day and evening shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking
  • supervision of large-scale batch cooking
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
