The Chef / Cook Supervisor role at Heathwood Assisted Living is a critical position focused on ensuring the health and well-being of residents through food preparation and culinary management. This role requires attention to detail, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high food safety and sanitation standards. The Chef / Cook Supervisor is responsible for preparing appropriate food quantities for each meal while adhering to dietary modifications necessary for resident health. In addition to food preparation, this role includes supervising wait staff and dishwashers to ensure efficient and timely service during meal times. Management duties also extend to overseeing kitchen equipment care, maintenance, and cleanliness.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous cooking experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to supervise kitchen staff
- ability to manage food preparation and kitchen operations
- strong organizational skills

- ability to follow dietary guidelines
Job Qualifications
- minimum of eighteen (18) years of age required
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience preferred
- knowledge of food protection principles
- ability to follow and prepare modified diets
- ability to carry out cooking tasks at a safe and efficient level of performance
- high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene required
Job Duties
- determine and prepare appropriate food quantities for each meal
- maintain safety and sanitation standards at each stage of meal preparation and service, including serving temperatures and times
- assist in care, maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment
- supervise all staff on assigned shifts, including responsibility of the completion of staff tasks
