Located in New York State, Heathwood is a certified ALP facility licensed and regulated to assure the highest standards of care and comfort for its residents. This establishment is deeply committed to its core values of integrity, reverence for the individual, teamwork, and passion for excellence, creating a community where each resident is treated with dignity and respect. Heathwood Assistant Living serves a diverse population by offering multiple levels of care including adult home, enhanced care, and specialized needs care, making it a trusted choice within the community for families seeking quality senior care.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef / Cook Supervisor to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the wellness and satisfaction of our residents by overseeing food preparation and service standards. The position offers various shifts including first, second, rotating, and weekend shifts, providing flexibility for the right candidate. Our compensation package is highly competitive with recent wage increases, ranging from $24.10 to $24.60 per hour, emphasizing our commitment to valuing our employees.

The Chef / Cook Supervisor plays a vital role in our community, responsible not only for direct meal preparation but also for managing the kitchen environment and staff. This position involves determining appropriate food quantities for meals, maintaining safety and sanitation standards throughout meal prep and service, including verifying serving temperatures and timing, and assisting in the care and cleanliness of kitchen equipment. The role also requires supervising kitchen staff such as wait staff and dishwashers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and correctly. This leadership responsibility is fundamental to maintaining smooth kitchen operations and satisfying the dietary needs of our residents.

At Heathwood Assisted Living, our team members are more than employees; they are caregivers who contribute to the well-being and happiness of our residents daily. We provide substantial benefits to our staff including health, dental, and vision insurance with under 30 days waiting period, no-cost life insurance, generous paid time off and sick leave, free uniforms, free on-site parking, and convenient direct deposit payments. We believe that investing in our team members helps us deliver the best care possible, and we foster a supportive work environment where each individual is encouraged to grow and succeed.

If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others, possess the necessary skills and experience, and want to be part of a community-focused organization, we encourage you to apply and join the Heathwood family. With our dedication to excellence and our residents, your work here will not just be a job, but a meaningful career.
