Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior cooking or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts including every other weekend
  • Must comply with health and safety regulations
  • Willingness to assist in various kitchen and dining duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility
  • Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state or local law
  • Cooking experience, preferred
  • Training available

Job Duties

  • Maintain in a clean and safe manner including all supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to the work schedule
  • Assist other members of the kitchen staff with meal preparation
  • Serve our residents and their guests in a friendly, timely and courteous manner
  • Assist in cleaning the dining rooms following meal service
  • Prep materials for the next shift
  • Wash dishes
  • Assist with special events within the facility
  • Prepare special orders from residents and their guests
