This particular opportunity is for a non-management, full-time culinary position located at The Ritz-Carlton in Irving, Texas. This role suits individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary excellence, offering a vibrant work environment where team spirit and professional development are emphasized. The position involves preparing ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food; handling fresh fruits and vegetables with care; and following strict recipes and presentation standards to uphold the hotel's renowned quality. Responsibilities also include cooking food using various kitchen appliances, maintaining food safety and hygiene, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the workstation.

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh measure and mix ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards and presentation standards
  • Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food
