Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant culinary experience
  • experience in kitchen management
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • proficient in computer applications
  • willingness to engage in client satisfaction activities
  • ServSafe certified desirable

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary and kitchen management experience depending on formal degree or training
  • catering experience
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • institutional and batch cooking experience
  • knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet applications
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise and train hourly associates
  • ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • support ordering and inventory management
