Port Day Camp is a well-established summer camp located in Port Washington, New York, catering to children from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. The camp offers a variety of engaging activities designed to nurture children's growth, creativity, and social skills in a safe and supportive environment. Job Requirements
- certified Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) teacher certificate or equivalent experience
- prior experience in cooking and working with children
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational skills
- responsible and reliable
- ability to follow safety protocols
- capacity to work within camp hours from 8:05 to 3:45 during the six-week camp period
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of food safety and hygiene
Job Duties
- teach campers how to prepare and cook kid-friendly recipes
- select recipes appropriate for pre-k to 6th grade campers
- order all required food and supplies
- conduct cooking sessions lasting about 35 minutes for groups of 22 campers
- maintain a safe and clean cooking environment
- communicate effectively with campers and camp staff
- manage time and resources efficiently
